TAP Card and Shipping Info

BUY COMMUTER EXPRESS PASSES AND TICKETS, DASH 31-DAY PASS OR STORED VALUE FOR YOUR TAP CARD

All Commuter Express and DASH 31-Day Passes and Commuter Express Tickets are now on the TAP card.

If you do not have a TAP card or would like one of the four featuring LADOT, order Commuter Express 31-Day Passes and Tickets, DASH 31-Day Passes or place stored value on the TAP card here.

  • All orders for Commuter Express Tickets and stored value will be processed and mailed the next business day.
  • 31-Day pass orders for the following month can only be mailed out on or after the 20th of the month until the 10th of the following month for which the pass is requested. Passes ordered prior to the 20th will be mailed on the 20th, or if a weekend/holiday on the following business day. If ordered prior to the 10th of the month, you will receive the pass for the month in which you place the order.
  • Web purchases require three days for the pass, tickets or stored value to be uploaded to the card and recognized on the bus, with the upload completed when you tap the card on the bus or at the train station.

If you already have a TAP card order your Commuter Express 31-Day Passes and Tickets, DASH 31-Day Passes or place stored value at www.taptogo.net.

  • Web purchases require three days for the pass, tickets or stored value to be uploaded to the card and recognized on the bus, with the upload completed when you tap the card on the bus or at the train station.
  • Passes and Trip Tickets must be tapped on the bus or train station within 30 days of purchase or the pass will be invalid, if purchased on web or phone.

About Us

The City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) currently operates the second largest fleet in Los Angeles County next to LACMTA. LADOT's transit fleet consists of nearly 400 vehicles which operate over 800,000 revenue hours and serve approximately 30 million passenger boardings per year.
